Lynne introduced some online video editing/creation tools (located on the wikispaces student engagement page). The group then given time to create avatars with a vocabulary focus. A general share out was given on how avatars can be used in the classroom. One teacher is using this to introduce concepts while she is gone and a sub is watching her class. Art Project(powered by Google) is a virtual 3d tour of various art galleries. Lynne also covered the online video tools such as Animoto and YouTube. The group was given an hour and a half to create 2 curriculum related projects using video editing tools. After lunch, the group was given the challenge to select 1 of the Web 2.0 tools and create or begin to create something to be used back at their districts.
